Source: KotakuThe R-rated "Hitman" made a respectable $21 million over the Thanksgiving weekend, facing off against heavy competition from Disney's "Enchanted" and Paramount's "Beowul"f, both of which were aimed at families. Robert Knepper, who's best known as T-Bag on Fox's "Prison Break," plays Russian chief agent Yuri Marklov in 20th Century Fox's "Hitman" movie.
In fact, it was his work in "Prison Break" that sealed the deal, because his first audition was bad and he sent in a tape afterward that got him another look. When director Xavier Gens saw it was T-Bag, he said Knepper had to be in the movie. But with just two weeks to go from southern pedophile to Russian agent, Knepper had no idea Hitman was a videogame.
"Fox eventually told me about the 'Hitman' videogame, but I read the script and I honestly felt like I didn't need to see the game," said Knepper. "I didn't need to know anything about the videogame because everything that I felt as an actor that I needed to know about the story was in the script. It had a great beginning, middle and end, it had a great conflict, a great hero, and a great anti-hero."
Knepper said he loved that the script was filled with this charade and masking and keeps people guessing who's a good guy and who's a bad guy.
"The script was a great mixture of everything and there are people told me, 'Yeah, that is kind of like the videogame,' and I know there are millions of people that play these games, but I personally have never done it. I didn't immediately go, 'Oh yeah, that is Hitman' and then go play the videogame. I just had time to work on the damn dialect and get that thing going."
But Knepper did play videogames when he was younger like Pac-Man and Galaxian.
"They had pinball, Pac-Man and Galaxian at the student union at Northwestern University, and I was always there," said Knepper. "I loved that shit. I could play pinball for hours and I remember thinking, 'I've got to study,' but they were addictive and the student union was open late so I was always playing. I'd literally be drunk from playing it."
When asked if "Prison Break," the show he's been a part of for the past three years, would make a good videogame in the wake of other hit Fox shows like "24," "The Simpsons" and "Futurama" making the leap, Knepper said he'd heard there was already a game in the works.
"I don't think it's quite done, but I heard that on the wind last year that they were trying to do it," said Knepper. "You know the whole thing with an escape, they were working on a videogame where you plot your own escape from prison."
Knepper, who's nothing like the creepy character he plays on TV (he's married with a kid), is often surprised by how fans of the show react to him in person. He almost gave one lady, who was about to enter an elevator he was in, a heart attack. Other fans, some with kids, come up and embrace him. T-Bag has definitely made his mark on TV.
"I'm just a pig in shit about it right now about it because I'm just really happy, I'm particularly happy about 'Hitman' because I was starting to feel like, 'Oh no, I'm going to end up like that guy who gets famous from something and then they can't shake it.' People know you for that one character and that's it," said Knepper. "I'm like, 'No, wait a minute, I'm an actor. I've spent 20 years playing different characters, and now I'm gonna be relegated to traveling the country and doing county fair circuits in the summertime.' Then 'Hitman' came along and I was like, 'I'm going to go after that thing like I'm gonna die tomorrow, and if I don't get it, I'm gonna' go on.' I 'm so happy that I got it because even though he's a bad guy, he's just so totally different from T-Bag with the Russian accent and everything. It's just amazing."
Knepper also enjoyed his time opposite Timothy Olyphant, a fellow actor who also made a name for himself embracing a role on television. And if 'Hitman' continues to score at the box office, more movies could follow for both actors.
Knepper Almost Didn't Make "Hitman"

Former Prison Break star Lane Garrison, who was sentenced to 40 months in prison last month for his involvement in an alcohol-fueled car crash last December, has been assigned to serve his jail-time at Richard J. Donovan Correctional Facility.
The 27-year-old actor pleaded guilty to felony vehicular manslaughter and driving under the influence over the incident, which caused the death of 17-year-old boy and left a 15-year-old girl injured.
Garrison was transferred to Donovan State Prison in San Diego, Calif., on November 20 from the Twin Towers Facility in Los Angeles.
Actor Tom Sizemore was sent to the same prison.

Robert Wisdom Talks To CraveOnline!

New member of the cast Robert Wisdom recently sat down and chatted to CraveOnline about being the ever so dominant Lechero aka Norman St. John on Prison Break. Read the interview below:
Robert Wisdom: It's a tremendous cast, a great ensemble and the storytelling is really captivating. It's caught on all over the world, I mean all over the world. I'm just really thrilled to be part of it. I love my character. We're having a great time.
Crave Online: How did you come into the show?
Robert Wisdom: I did the audition and had a good one. They saw what they needed to see in my take on the character, so they put their money on me.
Crave Online: And what a character.
Robert Wisdom: Yeah, it's a great character. I think it's beyond what I even imagined in the beginning. I'm real proud to be getting a chance to play it, especially at this particular time for myself and for the show.
Crave Online: It has to be memorable to come in on year three, right?
Robert Wisdom: I try not to look at it that way. That puts a little too much pressure on the game but I just try to do the best I'm able to do. I think my work at this point, I'm real happy with how I've grown so it's a good chance to work.
Crave Online: Will we be learning more about him?
Robert Wisdom: Oh yeah. I mean, we're just at the tip of the ice berg. You haven't even seen it yet. There's a lot that's going to happen in Lechero's story.
Crave Online: How long has he been inside?
Robert Wisdom: Well, he's only been in about a year but he's in for five consecutive lifetimes so he's going to be there for a little while.
Crave Online: He's set up after only a year? Did he work up through cleaning the toilets?
Robert Wisdom: Oh, no, no, no. This guy was a big drug kingpin on the outside so he came in with power and he just knew how to establish power. This isn't a hierarchical thing. This is mano a mano and you just take it.
Crave Online: How did he get such a swank setup in prison?
Robert Wisdom: Because he holds a lot of keys to a lot of closets where skeletons are. He knows where everything is and he is the strong guy who can do that. Every prison needed one. The military needed somebody who could do that so they empowered him, so he's working hand in glove with the colonels. So he gets what he wants.
Crave Online: Does he want out with that setup when the prison break happens?
Robert Wisdom: I have no idea.
Crave Online: I would imagine not.
Robert Wisdom: Well, every dog has its day. That's all I can say.
Crave Online: Is it cool that you're new guy and you boss the hero around?
Robert Wisdom: Of course. Of course. Make him work. Without him, he can't grow. So I'm glad to be there.
Crave Online: Is there any sense that the guys are veterans or is everyone starting new?
Robert Wisdom: Everyone knows their characters. They have a real handle on the history of those characters. The writers, they have a real close connection with the writers. The writers have each others' ear so they're sharing, so they're on a journey. The writers and the producers maintain the coherence. All we have to do is show up and do our thing and everyone there is super pro, so there's never any ostracism. There's never anybody who feels like the first day of high school, "Where do I sit in the cafeteria?"

More Filming Details!
Yup, all this stuff is coming to life. It seems like it is going to be very exciting! Yeah, apparently Bellick gets pretty ruthless.
No, Susan was still alive when I left and very much in control of Whistler. Keep in mind that I had not seen the end of the episode so maybe. But I must admit that I see the show in a totally different way. And after meeting Jodi Lyn O'Keefe herself, I think she is a great actress and now one of my favorite characters. I will just love to hate her. It was amazing to watch her get into character! She is such a sweetheart in real life.

"The Art of the Deal" (3.13) Spoilers!
Here are some very interesting spoilers (I've highlighted the best parts) for episode "The Art of the Deal" (3.13) from an extra working on the show, leaked over at Fox Forums. Keep reading. . . .
Source: DarkUFOAs some of you know, I recently had the opportunity to work as an extra on the set of Prison Break. I was involved with Days 3 and 4 of filming Episode 13.
Keep in mind that the scenes are not necessarily filmed in order so I do not not know what necessarily leads up to the following events. Also keep in mind that sometimes scenes are cut and scripts are changed so please don’t take this as written in stone.
• Michael, Mahone, Whistler, McGrady escape.
• Bellick kills someone in a fight.
• Bellick gives Sammie a chicken foot.
• Sammie is killed when the escape tunnel collapses on him. I think this was a set up.
• Lechero is shot and killed in SONA.
• Sucre is badly beaten and gets thrown into SONA. (I think for smuggling drugs)
• T-Bag takes over SONA. He finds money buried under SONA and distributes some to the inmates to gain their trust but keeps most for himself.
• Michael sets up the hostage exchange site to be a museum with a metal detector. (LJ for Whistler)
• The exchange is made. Gunfire goes off outside the museum and Sofia is shot in the crossfire. (I do not know if she dies)
• Whistler is taken by the Company.

Save the Good Doctor!

Well this whole series started because of a fake death, right? So if the writers are creative enough, it's very easy for them to say that that was not Sara's head.
For starters, it didn't look like Sara's head. They could always say that it was the head of the woman in the morgue in episode 1.
I used to be fans of other shows were fan favorite characters have been resurrected from the dead. In Alias, Michael Vartan's character was gunned to "death", yet he came back. In 24, Tony Almeida had a lethal drug injected to his heart, and he even died in Jack Bauer's arms...yet he's now returning for season seven. If they really want to do it, they can.
I'm sure if both sides talk amicably again, they can find a way to make it work. It's just so sad that we fans will never get the happy ending that Sara (and Michael) so much deserves.
I am with them 100% and as so many people are complaining that Prison Break is not the same without Sara, then do something about it! Get writing in! I've been in contact with SWC myself and she is a fantastic person. Get her back on the show! Watch the video below to see some of the work these people have put into this campaign:

Sarah Wayne Callies Update

In the film, Josh Holloway plays Max Truemont, a convicted felon hired to kidnap the son of a rich woman in New England. He is looking for a fresh start with his fiancé, Roxanne, played by Sarah Wayne Callies. The two decide to team up for the kidnapping, after they find that getting a bank loan with a felon on the application is near impossible. Once David is kidnapped, they take him to a remote hideout where the conspirators and kidnappers begin to turn on each other. Max begins to realize that the boy may be more than what he bargained for and not as innocent as he seems.
It's a shame the movie couldn't have been given a proper release, I'm still looking into why this is. I guess some movies don't make it that far, even with established actors. And it's times like these in which I miss SWC not being in the show.

Strike to end soon?
The WGA and studio reps are headed back to the bargaining table after back-channel dialogue facilitated by CAA partner Bryan Lourd helped put the parties onto a more productive track. The WGA and the Alliance of Motion Picture & Television Producers put out brief, identical statements Friday night that said contract talks would resume Nov. 26.
No other details were provided, and a press blackout was instituted. But it's clear that the emotion-charged issue of new-media compensation will remain front and center when the talks resume.
Despite the planned resumption of talks, the WGA intends to continue its picketing and other strike activities. Negotiations between the WGA and AMPTP broke down Nov. 4, and strike pickets took to studio gates the next day.
Picketing will take place as planned Monday and a big writers march is planned for 1:30 p.m. Tuesday on Hollywood Boulevard. No strike activities will be held the balance of the week, but that's only because none had been scheduled due to the Thanksgiving holiday.
Pickets will reappear the same day negotiations resume. WGA West president Patric Verrone alerted guild members during the weekend that their picketing obligations remain in place.
"This announcement is a direct result of your efforts ... the hours you have spent on the picket lines, the days you've spent educating friends and colleagues, the boundless energy you've put into engaging with not only the Hollywood talent community but people all over the country and the world," Verrone said.
"We must remember that returning to the bargaining table is only a start," he added. "Our work is not done until we achieve a good contract, and that is by no means assured. Accordingly, what we achieve in negotiations will be a direct result of how successfully we can keep up our determination and resolve."

Hollywood comes calling for Knepper
In a 20-year career, actor Robert Knepper has played everything from Julia Roberts' husband in Woody Allen's "Everyone Says I Love You" (1996) to Robert F. Kennedy in "Jackie, Ethel, Joan: The Women of Camelot" (2001). But he didn't become famous until he created a murderous, racist pedophile named Theodore "T-Bag" Bagwell on the television series "Prison Break."
Since then, oozing charm and menace in equal amounts, Knepper has captured audiences worldwide. Not only is he starring in a big Hollywood film, "Hitman," set to open on Wednesday, but also he is rumored to be playing the next Bond villain, co-starring with Hugh Jackman in the "X-Men" spinoff "Wolverine" and starring in a remake of Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds" (1963).
What a difference a sneer makes.
Four months before becoming television's baddest dude, the 48-year-old Knepper feared that he would have to give up acting to support his wife and 5-year-old son.
"I tried to get a job teaching theater at UCLA, but I didn't have the right credentials," he says by telephone from his Dallas home. "I did get an offer from UCLA Extension, but it only paid $50 a week."
Meanwhile the producers of "Prison Break" were looking for, as Knepper puts it, "a 240-pound, stupid Southern hick with a gold tooth and tattoos" to play a convict named T-Bag. Didn't sound promising for Knepper, who is a slim 5-foot-9 and sounds like George Clooney when he isn't putting on a Southern drawl, but he saw possibilities. When he went in to audition, he threw them a curve ball.
"I wanted to charm the pants off them," Knepper says. "It's like, when you go out on a date, you don't say over the first drink, 'Wanna go home and ...?' How far would you get that way? Or 'Here's what's wrong with me.' You don't talk about negative stuff - if you want to get beyond first base, you've got to charm. For me it comes naturally, because I am more interested in other people."
He got the part, and then had to convince himself that he could do it.
"The first season I took a pen and put 'xoxoxo' around the middle finger of my left hand," he says. "(I thought) 'If I can just feel tough, I'll be OK."'
It worked. Knepper's portrayal of T-Bag was one of the most talked-about performances of 2005, and two years later audiences still seem to love the character, even though he's the kind of psycho who will kidnap the woman he loves and slaughter the veterinarian who reattached his severed hand.
"When I get my Oscar someday, I'll thank 'Prison Break,"' Knepper says. "It's what started this whole new chapter for me."
Don't forget guys, Robert has a role in the new movie "Hitman" which opens in US theaters on Wednesday!

Fan Report from Florida!
A fan of the show visited the set in St. Petersberg, Florida yesterday where the crew are currently filming scenes for the 'escapees':
They are here in Fort De Soto National Park(St. Petersburg, FL). They were here in September, and now they are back. Filming that beach scene, where Lincoln digs the cooler. I went to see it, they were just finishing lunch. Wentworth Miller was in his truck, but I got to see Purcell and Mahone(I dont know his real name). I got some pictures with them too, they were really nice. They did break out, and diging up the cooler. Helicopters and fake `Panama` coastguards. Sooo cool boats!
What about T-Bag and Lechero?

Santora: "3.08 will be the last episode of PB for what might be a long time"
Hi everyone — got up at 5am today to be on the picket lines by 6am — funny, I like and respect the people I’ve collaborated with (all the executives) at both the network and studios and the press is kind of making it seem like both sides of the strike HATE each other — not the case for me and n’ot the case for most of the people I know involved in this mess — the execs we deal with every day are not the people that are saying “Hey, the Internet is ‘too new’ and we just don’t know if it will catch on” even though projections are that the studios will make over $4.6 Billion dollars from showing episodes and films we wrote over the internet over just the next 3 years. The execs we deal with are on our team team — the team that wants PB to be as good as possible. That being said, I don’t hate anyone — except this one kid who used to hide my lunchbox on me in first grade but that’s a totally different story — I just don’t want my compensation to be reduced for my work on projects that produce billions of dollars in revenue for massive global corporations. I mean, come on, our first offer to the studios was for them to KEEP 97 1/2% of the internet money!! We’re only asking for 2 1/2% … that all. In the meantime, the network has decided that tonight will be the last episode of PB for what might be a long time. When this strike is over, I sure hope you fans come back … our ratings the past few weeks (especially the two-parter last week) were very strong and I know I personally would hate to lose you guys — I love telling stories and I love that you guys enjoy them. Also, tonight is the first ever on-screen credit for Christian Trokey, an incredibly talented writer I have had the honor of knowing for 6 years … he spent 6 years toiling as an assitant in the entertainment industry before he got his break, and I would hate for this strike to take away from the fact that Christian Trokey has achieved tonight something that he has been working toward since he was a teenager. Christian and I wrote the episode together and I am thrilled that my name gets to appear on screen with his … he is that good. So please watch tonight and share in Christian’s accomplishment and let him hear your congratulations if you feel so inclined. And don’t worry … no strike last forever, and I will picket as long as I have to, for my fellow writers and for the people who enjoy my writing — I want the studios to just please come back to the negotiating table so we can cut a deal and I can get back to what I was born to do … write. Be well, all the best, and with great appreciation for all the support and kindness you have shown me and Prison Break … Nick Santora.Source: PBreakFans

Michael denies the accusation. The General punches Michael in the face, he then turns to him, with a bloody mouth. Zavala says Michael has been causing too many problems in Sona, so he orders his men to take him away. “Say Goodbye to Sona Mr. Scofield.”

Not wishing to ruin the roller-coaster ride responsible for the show’s success, Wisdom was pretty tight-lipped on what fans can expect from his self-appointed Sona Prison Boss Lechero. Yet was kind enough to talk about the differences between acting on HBO’s critically acclaimed series THE WIRE and FOX’s action-packed PRISON BREAK.
The TV Addict: As an actor do you prefer the gritty realism of THE WIRE or the blink-and-you’ll-miss excitement of PRISON BREAK?
Robert Wisdom: I really don’t have a preference. All I can say is that I’m extremely proud to have taken part in THE WIRE story. THE WIRE is one of the great experiences in my life and something that I never expected.
PRISON BREAK is an equally great opportunity, yet completely different. The show allows for a completely different type of acting. It’s a fantasy, hype-real almost graphic novel SIN CITY kind of thing. It’s great fun, but as an actor I take a completely different approach.
While I know you’re not about to spoil what happens next. Can you give us a hint as to what’s store for the fans as the season progresses?
In order to get a third season, the PRISON BREAK writers really had to up the ante. This season is about to get a lot more intense and high risk. It’s a really great ride, truly a modern day television roller-coaster.
But that’s about all I know. I learn things as the fans learn things. I don’t read scripts until the day before we shoot them because I don’t want a future plot points to change how I’m acting in the current episode. PRISON BREAK is far more fun when you don’t know what’s going to happen next!

What's In the Cooler?

OK so I figured as Lincoln purchased the cooler from a store on the pier, that there is maybe either some sort of underwater equipment or some type of fish (unlikely) being hidden away in there. Whatever it is, it obviously needs to be kept fresh. In the scene where Linc burries the cooler, he first opened it and showed Sofia it's contents and then told her that it was their escape vehicle. Anyway, I want to know what you guys think is in the cooler! And no, I doubt it's Sara's head. So leave a comment, I really want to read your feedback!

Prison Break Returns January 14th 2008!
Fox’s “revised” 2008 schedule kicks off Jan. 13 and 14 with the series premiere of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles and starts cooking with gas on the 15th with the two-night return of that singing show known as American Idol, but now is experiencing a Bauer outage. “The seventh season premiere of 24 is being postponed,” explains the network, “to ensure that Day 7 can air uninterrupted, in its entirety.” Fair ’nuff.Source: TVGuide
Another jaw-dropper: instead of taking a four-month breather following a Dec. 17 “fall finale,” Prison Break will take a break after this Monday’s airing, then return with new episodes starting Jan. 14.
