To steal one Fox publicist's line, "It's good to see you with your head on your shoulders."
That's very kind of you to say!
How does it feel to be promoting the show again? Who made the first overture to get you back?
I'm not sure because they called my representatives. Apparently something had been kicking around for a little while. I was actually in the process of negotiating to be on another show, and this came out of nowhere.
Especially given the circumstances of Dr. Sara's exit.
Especially given that I had not come out a-head in the third season. [Winks] Let's get all those jokes out of the way. But no, it had to do with the fans. I'm enormously grateful for their persistence.
We at TVGuide.com got so much mail....
Really?
Oh, yeah. People felt the Michael-Sara romance had been abruptly cut short.
That's interesting. I think it makes sense for me now to return and do justice to that, give it the closure it deserves.
Was Went[worth Miller] glad to see you?
That's a question for Went!
Do you have any idea where Sara will be coming from, emotionally? Is she, I could imagine, totally pissed off?
I think she's been through an enormous amount. Everybody on the show has been. But as one of the few characters who was not familiar with a life of crime before all this started, it's hitting her very hard. So I think this season for her is about negotiating the consequences of the choices she has had to make and the things that have been done to her as a result.
Jodi Lyn O'Keefe (Susan B.) told us she's dying to have scenes with you.
I've asked for them, too, but I haven't read a single script yet, so I don't know. There were so many terrific women in the third season, and I don't think I've ever had a scene with another woman....
No, just that nurse you conned into leaving the infirmary door open.
[Laughs] Yeah, and she's a lovely woman and I'd love to work with her again. But any of the [new Prison Break actresses], I would love to work with.
As a working mom now, are you happier to be filming this season in Los Angeles, versus Chicago or Texas?
It's exciting for me to not have to relocate my family, absolutely.
So for how long do we have you around for? Best case.
I think I'm here to the bitter end, but I've thought that before. So who knows!

Nolasco: "From what I hear, we are going back in May"
When are you heading back?
Amaury Nolasco: From what I hear, we are going back in May. I don't know if you saw the cliffhanger. I'm back in prison. Its going to be pretty exciting. My girl is still pregnant. It's the longest pregnancy in TV history. People forget that with our time line, it has only been two weeks. The whole series, since season one, has been three months. If you think about it, she still has six more months to be pregnant. Fernando is the ultimate friend. I am very proud of this character. It is a beautiful relationship that he has with Michael. That is very rare nowadays. That you would take the plunge for your boy. Not only that, the third season had a whole new experience because there was a relationship with me and Lincoln. It was built up there. It's one of those shows. I know people keep asking, "How many more times can you go back to prison?" I don't know what is going to happen. I don't know what is going on in the mind of the writers. I don't think we will be going back too many more times. I don't know. But the writing is so good that as an actor, I just get out of the way. I let the writers speak.
Do you know how everything is going to come together with this new season?
Amaury Nolasco: I don't like to know what is going to happen. I like to read as they go, script wise. I know that T-Bag is still inside. And so is Bellick. There is definitely going to be a relationship there, going on. I don't like to know what is going to happen. I take it script-by-script and let it develop.

Another Wentworth Miller Interview
The question that is on everybody’s mind: Do you like girls or do you like boys?
First: They can gossip about it all they want, I won’t respond to it anymore, not because it makes me angry but because I already have stated that I don’t like boys. Apparently a lot of people refuse to believe that. I know how the rumours got started. I’m not the kind of guy who ‘scores’ every weekend. I’m a romantic; I don’t do one night stands.
You’ve got two sisters, aren’t they being harassed daily by girlfriends who want to date you?
Ha ha, you should ask them. I don’t think their friends would even think of trying something, because both Gillian and Leigh are very down-to-earth just like me. Thank God they never thought about setting me up for a date. Of course they like having a famous brother, but that’s it. I still get treated the same way I used too, which means that if by chance we are all together, I’m still in trouble when it comes to who is going to do the dishes.
In PB several characters are struggling with addictions. In real life do you have any addictions?
I smoked for ten years, but quit a few month ago. I started noticing that I had to cough and my respiratory system was becoming irritated. Quitting wasn’t easy, but I’m still managing fine. I just have to concentrate on something else. My phone bill has never been so high.
Many people call you an acting talent. Is there something you can’t do?
Well according to my friends I’m a disaster in the kitchen. I don’t know if you know her, but even Susan Meyer from Desperate Housewives can cook better than me. My friends always disagree whenever I think that my spaghetti dish turned out all right.

Dominic Purcell is a Liverpudlian!
Dominic Purcell was born in Liverpool before emigrating with his family to Australia at the age of two.
“I spoke with a Liverpudlian accent until I was six years old and went to school,” he said.
“And there I was mercilessly teased by my Aussie buddies, so I quickly lost the Liverpudlian thing and started to speak like an Australian.”
With his Prison Break role he had to ditch the Australian accent for an American one!
“I was speaking American all day and then I’d get home and speak Australian and I just felt so exhausted by going back and forth that I just decided to speak it all the time. Now I just speak American.”

Knepper: "That’s a great feeling — to affect people that deeply"
So what’s in store for T-Bag for the rest of the season?
Some of my friends have written me and said, “What’s going on with you, man? You had such an explosive first and second season, what’s going on?” I say, “Just wait, just wait. He’s still there.” T-Bag’s been doing the Iago thing for several episodes, lurking in the background, and I think you’re going to see him hop to the front pretty soon. Sorry, I lost my train of thought. I just got this new car. I’m learning how to drive it as I’m trying to talking to you.
Please be careful.
It would be a really good article. You could say, wow, I was interviewing Robert Knepper at the moment that he crashed into a telephone pole.
I really don’t want to do that article.
But you could be famous!
That’s okay. Do people ever get freaked out when they see you out and about?
One time I was at a hotel in Dallas waiting for the elevator, and the doors opened and there was this idyllic, blonde, blue-eyed couple — they looked like they were from, like, Denver. “Rocky Mountain High” should have been playing behind them. She’s kind of cooing in his ear, and she turns as the doors open and sees me and literally swallows a scream. And then she immediately turned beet red because she realized that I was the actor, not the character, obviously. That’s a great feeling — to affect people that deeply. At least they feel something. I just don’t like it when my little boy is bleeding and somebody comes up to me and says, “Do you mind if I get a picture?”
Did that actually happen?
It actually happened. Here in Dallas. We were by the pool, and he stumbled and fell right on his face. This lady came up to me right then, and I could have said, “Fuck off! Look at my kid!” but I was torn. Obviously my allegiance was with my boy. But I just said, “Just give me a minute.” When you’re an actor going from job to job, you start to think, maybe someday I’ll get a huge break and maybe not be a star but I’ll get to the point where I don’t have to struggle so much. And all of a sudden it happened for me — not in my 20s, but in my 40s — and I’m like, “Damn, man. This is so great.” So I’m not going to turn to that person who’s witnessing my kid’s nose bleeding and say, “Fuck off.”
Does it get weird sometimes — playing a total psycho and then going home and being a loving dad?
Well, I have that reentry period of driving home. You get home and it’s, “Papa, let’s play!” It’s the great equalizer. He is my life. I draw on that passion, that love, in a way, to play one of the most demented characters ever. I know it sounds like a dichotomy, but you’ll see: When you have a child, your work will get even better. You’re so focused. You really start to feel like, I would do anything, anything to protect my family. Including kill.
When is he going to be old enough to watch the show?
Oh, I don’t know. 35? No, maybe 12. I’m sure he’s going to be exposed to a lot worse by the time he’s 10. He’s going to look at it and say, “Oh please, Papa was playing a racist pedophile. That’s nothing!”
The writers’ strike interrupted the show mid-season. How’s that been?
Honestly, when the strike first happened, I thought, “Oh, thank God.” I did want a little break. But T-Bag is such a volatile, complex character, and the volatility has to be released so often, on a daily basis. Now, to not have that, it’s been a little bit of an implosion. I think my wife likes me a little more when I’m working.

New Dominic Purcell Interview
I meant to post this earlier but got sidetracked. Anyway, here is a video from when Dominic Purcell was spending the holidays in France and being interviewed for MSN.fr.
Dom reveals in the interview that if the strike ends as soon as the end of next week (mid January) that the cast and crew would have enough time to film the rest of season 3.
I am very doubtful this could even happen. Season 3 will more than likely finish after only 13 episodes.

Dominic Purcell Dishes on Prison Break's Return and Being a Real-Life Hero
Dominic Purcell saved a baby’s life.
Wentworth Miller is afraid of something.
We finally have something good again to watch on Monday nights. Boo-yah!
These are the juicy little nuggets I just scored from one Mr. Purcell himself, who rang me up today to chat about the long-awaited return of Fox’s Prison Break this Monday—just in freaking time to help cure January’s strike-induced TV blues.
Dom had just returned from an overseas trip in which, no joke, he and his real-life brother saved a baby's life while in Ireland.
Listen in to what Mr. Purcell says about that, Linc’s love life, the possibility of a spinoff and more…(Then check back in Monday’s chat for more Prison Break scoop!)
Hey! Thanks so much for calling, Dom. How were your holidays?
They were great. I went to Paris to promote Prison Break, went to London and in the meantime, I was saving babies’ lives...
Yeah, what is up with that? What happened?
My brother and I were traveling to the west coast of Ireland to surf, and we saw this lady on the side of the road screaming and freaking out. We pulled over and she was holding her baby, and her baby was blue and not breathing and choking, obviously. And my brother and I did CPR, the whole nine yards, and it survived.
That’s incredible. How do you know CPR?
I’ve got four kids. I’ve got to know that stuff. But what was really bizarre was after we brought the baby back to life we were in some stranger's house on the side of the road where we called the ambulance, and the person in the house wanted my picture and autographs...It was just bizarre. [Laughs] My brother and I are superheroes.
On screen and off, right?! Well, on behalf of all the Prison Break fans, bless you for being on a show that’s coming back on the air. We need something good to watch right now!
I know. It’s pretty bad, right?
Yeah, so what can you tell me about the five new episodes?
Expect a breakout—and you can expect the usual suspects attempting to break out with Michael. A few of them make it, and a few of them are left behind.
I’m hearing Linc might be getting some action?
Well that’s news to me because Lincoln has yet to be laid! There’s a whole lot of jesting going on but no action.
Well I’m hearing that Sofia starts pulling away from Whistler and closer to you…
Yes, that’s true. I definitely think that Linc has a soft spot for Sofia and likewise her…So, we’ll plant a few seeds as to what may happen between the two of them.
Word is you shot scenes on location in Florida, including some underwater stuff in the middle of the ocean. What was that like?
It was awesome. I loved it. And I’m gonna give you a little scoop. [Laughs] Wentworth and Bill Fichtner refused to go out there because they are scared of f--king sharks! But me and Whistler, Chris Vance, the two Australian he-men, decided we could deal with it, so we went out and we were bobbing around in the middle of the Atlantic. It was fun; the water was warm, and apart from the occasional great white that came along, it was good.
You also have a big stunt scene involving a Panamanian bus that Lincoln commandeers…Are you the new Keanu?
I shot that in Dallas. It was a normal, crazy-ass stunt where Lincoln gets hold of a bus and crashes it through a bunch of telephone polls.
There’s a rumor that the American woman who’ll visit Michael this season will be the subject of a spinoff called Cherry Hill…What do you think of that? Is a spinoff a good idea?
It depends who you talk to. If I talk to certain writers on the show, they're like, "No, there’s no such thing." And at one point they were trying to make it happen, but they couldn’t find the girl, so now Fox is done with that idea. So, it’s really up in the air.

Edith Bowman meets Dominic Purcell

Dominic Purcell was interviewed yesterday afternoon by BBC Radio One’s Edith Bowman. To listen to the interview, you can click here. Dominic talks about the strike and also seems optimistic about a fourth season. So who knows? Maybe the end is not near for Prison Break. Dominic also revealed that himself and his brother, whilst vacationing in Ireland, helped save a 16 month old boy from death after he stopped breathing.
Prison Break returns to US screens on January 14th and in the UK on January 28th.

Dominic Purcell in France
Dominic Purcell has been doing some light promotion for the show in France this week. Last night he was in Paris on Marc Olivier Fogiel's television show. No big announcements during the interview were made, except for those of you who have a strong opinion about his hair style. The producers of Prison Break have decided to let him grow back his hair from January 2008 if he wants to.
I can't help but feel kinda sorry for Dom in the first video. Awkward perhaps?

Camille Guaty Spills!

Camille Guaty aka Maricruz aka Fernando's chick just spoke with TVGuide.com about the latest on her new show "Las Vegas" as well as her possible return to Prison Break and why she enjoyed dressing as a giant booger for Halloween.
TVGuide.com: Your character, Piper, was introduced at the beginning of this season. Was it tough joining a show that's already in its fifth year?
Guaty: Yeah, you always have your plusses and minuses, [but] this cast couldn't have made it easier for me. The first day, I was so incredibly sick that I don't think I could have been intimidated by anything but myself. I couldn't remember my lines, all I wanted to do was lie on the floor and have a blanket over me. I think we probably did that scene, like, 30 times.
TVGuide.com: To me, it felt like you fit right in. In your very first scene, you were already walking around the casino contending with Sam (Vanessa Marcil), who's such a force.
Guaty: I know! We have a lot of these things on the show called walk-and-talks. I was like, "Oh, walking and talking, so easy, right?" But it's like patting your head and rubbing your belly at the same time.
TVGuide.com: Do you guys ever actually shoot in Vegas?
Guaty: I believe they shot there [a bit], but J.L. [James Lesure, who plays Mike] was just telling a story the other day about one of the reasons they don't really shoot there anymore: He started off playing a valet on the show, and some drunk guy stumbled into one of the set's cars at 6 am and demanded the taxi to take him somewhere. And they were like, “Ugh, this is all fake; you're in the middle of a set!" So I think it became difficult for them to shoot in Vegas just because of the debauchery.
TVGuide.com: And the show lives up to its debaucherous name. Though its dramedy tone is so different from other shows you've done, like Prison Break and The Nine.
Guaty: I've always done a lot of dramas. And I remember during The Nine, there was one week where I worked, like, three 16-hour days in the bank and I was crying all the time. I was like, "Dear god, please let my next show be a comedy, I need to last!" [Laughs] I loved doing that show, but it takes a toll on you, especially just starting out as actress. Sometimes I would bring it home and my boyfriend would be like, "Geez, are you ever going to be in a good mood?" [Laughs] Now I'm feisty and I'm happy, and it's great. It's a lot of fun.
TVGuide.com: Do you think you'll ever go back to Prison Break?
Guaty: I got word that I might. I love the character, Maricruz; I love the relationship between her and Fernando. I would have loved to have done a little more on that show, but I wasn't really available at the time. So we'll see, if I'm not tied into another show.
TVGuide.com: If she comes back around, it would be interesting to see whether she's still pregnant or if she's got a baby already.
Guaty: I would love to have the baby and then try to get Fernando out of prison myself, like I'd become this commando girl who tries to get her lover out of prison and bring him home. Love is what's driving him, so she might totally do something like that for him.
TVGuide.com: It would be nice to get to know your Las Vegas character better, too, and maybe see a Piper-centric episode.
Guaty: Yeah, there are going to be a couple, both sad and funny. You're going to see a lot of Piper's heart, find out who her family is and find out why she is the way she is.
TVGuide.com: So far, we do know that Piper's boss, Cooper (Tom Selleck), stole her from the Palms hotel, but I heard that your character might have something to do with Cooper's hidden past.
Guaty: Yes, that's correct; we'll see that this season.
TVGuide.com: And what about getting you a love interest?
Guaty: I am getting one!
TVGuide.com: Good, because I couldn't take it if your romantic luck was as bad as Mike's.
Guaty: I think he gets one, too.
TVGuide.com: On the Halloween episode, it was so much fun to see that they had you in six different costumes, but I was surprised that one of your outfits was a giant booger on such a sexy show. What was up with that?
Guaty: Oh, it was so much fun. I love Halloween. But the big booger costume was so heavy. I had to slip into it and four or five people had to hold me up. It was actually called a blob at first, and I was like, "You know what? I just feel like this is a big booger." So they kept it. My first writing experience! And it worked, and most of the laughs came from the booger line.
TVGuide.com: Did you always want to be an actor?
Guaty: Always, always, always, as long as I can remember. But when it came time to go to college, my parents were like, "You're not going to college for acting, it's not happening." So I cried, and then I chose Boston University and I went there for advertising and found my way. Then at the graduation dinner, I gave my parents the degree and I said, "OK, guys, now I'm pursuing acting." They were just crying. But literally, I had a plan. I was like, "OK, I'll do what you want me to do and then the minute I'm done, I'll do what I want to do."
TVGuide.com: You were also a semifinalist on the WB's Popstars in 2001, trying out for the all-girl group Eden's Crush. So you're a singer, too?
Guaty: Ha, yes. Singing is always going to be a passion of mine, but I don't know about professionally. Then again, if there are any labels out there interested in testing me out, call me up!

Robert Wisdom Talks To CraveOnline!

New member of the cast Robert Wisdom recently sat down and chatted to CraveOnline about being the ever so dominant Lechero aka Norman St. John on Prison Break. Read the interview below:
Robert Wisdom: It's a tremendous cast, a great ensemble and the storytelling is really captivating. It's caught on all over the world, I mean all over the world. I'm just really thrilled to be part of it. I love my character. We're having a great time.
Crave Online: How did you come into the show?
Robert Wisdom: I did the audition and had a good one. They saw what they needed to see in my take on the character, so they put their money on me.
Crave Online: And what a character.
Robert Wisdom: Yeah, it's a great character. I think it's beyond what I even imagined in the beginning. I'm real proud to be getting a chance to play it, especially at this particular time for myself and for the show.
Crave Online: It has to be memorable to come in on year three, right?
Robert Wisdom: I try not to look at it that way. That puts a little too much pressure on the game but I just try to do the best I'm able to do. I think my work at this point, I'm real happy with how I've grown so it's a good chance to work.
Crave Online: Will we be learning more about him?
Robert Wisdom: Oh yeah. I mean, we're just at the tip of the ice berg. You haven't even seen it yet. There's a lot that's going to happen in Lechero's story.
Crave Online: How long has he been inside?
Robert Wisdom: Well, he's only been in about a year but he's in for five consecutive lifetimes so he's going to be there for a little while.
Crave Online: He's set up after only a year? Did he work up through cleaning the toilets?
Robert Wisdom: Oh, no, no, no. This guy was a big drug kingpin on the outside so he came in with power and he just knew how to establish power. This isn't a hierarchical thing. This is mano a mano and you just take it.
Crave Online: How did he get such a swank setup in prison?
Robert Wisdom: Because he holds a lot of keys to a lot of closets where skeletons are. He knows where everything is and he is the strong guy who can do that. Every prison needed one. The military needed somebody who could do that so they empowered him, so he's working hand in glove with the colonels. So he gets what he wants.
Crave Online: Does he want out with that setup when the prison break happens?
Robert Wisdom: I have no idea.
Crave Online: I would imagine not.
Robert Wisdom: Well, every dog has its day. That's all I can say.
Crave Online: Is it cool that you're new guy and you boss the hero around?
Robert Wisdom: Of course. Of course. Make him work. Without him, he can't grow. So I'm glad to be there.
Crave Online: Is there any sense that the guys are veterans or is everyone starting new?
Robert Wisdom: Everyone knows their characters. They have a real handle on the history of those characters. The writers, they have a real close connection with the writers. The writers have each others' ear so they're sharing, so they're on a journey. The writers and the producers maintain the coherence. All we have to do is show up and do our thing and everyone there is super pro, so there's never any ostracism. There's never anybody who feels like the first day of high school, "Where do I sit in the cafeteria?"

New Robert Wisdom Interview
Not wishing to ruin the roller-coaster ride responsible for the show’s success, Wisdom was pretty tight-lipped on what fans can expect from his self-appointed Sona Prison Boss Lechero. Yet was kind enough to talk about the differences between acting on HBO’s critically acclaimed series THE WIRE and FOX’s action-packed PRISON BREAK.
The TV Addict: As an actor do you prefer the gritty realism of THE WIRE or the blink-and-you’ll-miss excitement of PRISON BREAK?
Robert Wisdom: I really don’t have a preference. All I can say is that I’m extremely proud to have taken part in THE WIRE story. THE WIRE is one of the great experiences in my life and something that I never expected.
PRISON BREAK is an equally great opportunity, yet completely different. The show allows for a completely different type of acting. It’s a fantasy, hype-real almost graphic novel SIN CITY kind of thing. It’s great fun, but as an actor I take a completely different approach.
While I know you’re not about to spoil what happens next. Can you give us a hint as to what’s store for the fans as the season progresses?
In order to get a third season, the PRISON BREAK writers really had to up the ante. This season is about to get a lot more intense and high risk. It’s a really great ride, truly a modern day television roller-coaster.
But that’s about all I know. I learn things as the fans learn things. I don’t read scripts until the day before we shoot them because I don’t want a future plot points to change how I’m acting in the current episode. PRISON BREAK is far more fun when you don’t know what’s going to happen next!
